Description | Within the Muromachi Bakufu, confrontation between Ko no Moronao, butler of Ashikaga Takauji and his brother Tadayoshi came to surface, and eventually split into Takauji and Tadayoshi factions. In October Kannou1(1350), the two factions finally had an armed conflict (Kanno Disturbance). Since then, battle between the two factions continued around the Kinai region. This letter is written by Tadayoshi when attacking Ko no Moronao and Moroyasu brothers. Since Anegakoujisyosyo went to Yamashina, Yamashiro Province (Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture), he is asking for support against Onjo-ji Temple (Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture). |
