| Description | In February Kannou2(1351), Ashikaga Takauji and Ko no Moronao were defeated by Takauji’s younger brother Ashikaga Tadayoshi in the battle of Uchidehama, Settsu Province (Hyogo Prefecture). They reconciled, but Ko no Moronao and his Ko clan were killed by Tadayoshi. After the end of July, Takauji and Tadayoshi brothers broke down again, and battles between them continued for a while around Omi Province (Shiga Prefecture). Returning to Kyoto in October, Takauji ordered the higher priest of Enmyoji Temple in Oyamazaki, Yamashiro Province (Oyamazaki Town, Kyoto) to pray for the serenity of Japan while preparing for revenge of Tadayoshi. |
